About the Plant
Prospero autumnale (formerly Scilla autumnalis)
A tiny autumn-flowering bulb found in Malta’s garigue, steppe, cliff tops and pockets of exposed rock. Its slender spikes of pale violet flowers appear in September and October, often before its leaves, and can easily be missed among the stones.
