About the Plant
Known in Maltese as Żagħżigħa selvaġġa, flax-leaved fleabane is a naturalised alien originally from tropical America. In Malta it grows mainly along roadsides, in pavement cracks, rubble walls, abandoned fields and other urban or semi-rural ground; the fine pappus attached to each seed forms the pale fluff that carries it on the wind.
